Objects as History 11: 19.3.20 – Devanshi Shah

Week 11 of objects as history class was learning about Hinduism and Indian history.

We started by discussing about the Mauryan pillar, which was made form sandstone, and is seen In the Patna museum

We discussed as to how a lot of symbols and motifs are used in various objects in the Hinduism culture.

Next we saw the Ashoka empire tablet, made of basalt which consists of certain symbol and scripts.
