week 14 of imaging class was about showing our final coffe table book layout , a completed version , with the timeline, a prototype of the book, and the mockup .
So we had to make a mockup for our book through a link of making mockups which was given by sir, we needed to place our images and make a mockup of the same
I had to make a few corrections post my review like page numbers, and removing of water mark and a few alignments. apart from which i was fully done with my book .
through this I learnt how to make mockups, I understood what goes into designing a book and its layout, I got more clarity on layouts, placements, alignments, placing of text and images in a balanced form for a book. I also learnt few ethics of designing a book like mentioning the bibliography and reference for any thing that has been sourced for somewhere and is not your own
we also had to make a gif video for a better visual understanding of the book.
In the beginning of this course of learning Indesign I found the software to be difficult as compare to Photoshop or Illustrator. However through this journey of learning this software and continously working on it for various projects have helped me gain confidence in working on this software, and I am now very accustomed to using the same and enjoy doing so , so I can say throughout this journey I always had a fear of these softwares and had doubted myself of not being able to use it, but things have changed now, I enjoy using these softwares, I like exploring new stuff on them, and it has given me a clearer understanding about what a part of communication design comprises of and has helped me make my decesion on selecting my discipline for the coming years.
