WEEK 9:
Week 9 of seminar class was about an introduction and a start to our new project.
We started of by brainstorming as to what we feel design was and jotted down them in pointers as a
Whole, and design according to us means:
- Innovation
- Simplification
- Unique
- Creating something new
- Perspective
- Help improve
- Structure
- Solutions
- Communications
- User driven
- Change
- Adaptability
- Inclusive
We then discussed these few aspects in length.
Post which we were told to do an activity which was a start to our studio class work and was interconnected:
We had to take the 3 disciplines in order of preference which we would like to study further and list down the categories as well as elements of that category, eg: PRODUCT DESIGN- elements will be the further sub streams like furniture e design , appliance design, and the elemnts foor furniture design would be wood ,material , texture etc.
Hence we had to do the same for all the 3 disciplines.
My 3 discipline choices are:
- Product design
- Communication design
- And strategic design management.
