Integrative studio 6 : 10.2.20- Prarthan Patil.

Week 6 of studio class was about proceeding further towards making our tunnel box.

As we traced our final drawing in 6 layers on the gateway sheet last class , our deliverables for this class was to trace these gateway sheet layers now on our final 250 gsm ivory sheets.

We had to keep in mind to reverse our gateway sheets  on the ivory sheet and then re-trace them. In which the drawing on the left side would appear on right side of the ivory sheet and vice versa.

We also had to make a small 5×5 ich prototype of the outside box and get it.

As we got all are deliverables, and got them reviewed from ma’am and got all our doubts cleared from ma’am.

Our next step was to now cut the layers on the ivory sheet using the fine pen knife such that when the layer was reversed there won’t be any pencil lines, and the drawings made on each layer’s would be only seen through the positive, negative spaces.

This stage was very difficult because all our layers and drawings were very detailed and cutting them out without messing up and keeping the positive, negative spaces in mind was a tideous job.

The difficulties I was facing was firstly making the prototype box, because I am very bad when it comes to drawing lines and drawing exact squares with measurements, and if even oneline marking goes wrong and the cutting goes wrong accordingly, then assembling the box was an issue.

The second challenge I was facing was cutting out the layers, as it was work to be done with lot of patience, and it took me hours to finish one layer with precision, were using that pen knife was very painful.
