Week 14 of drawing class was all about completing our final physical zine.
We first had our reviews individually about our storyboard zine, that’s when I got an input that all my characters were of the same posture, and expression, which made all of them same all though their costumes were same, there wasn’t much difference in their looks.
I was then facing a lot of difficulties to change their expressions, as I wasn’t very good with expressions, body language and features, then is when sir told me to refer to videos where the actual actor is delivering the dialogue and told me to observe them well and capture their expressions and use them as a reference to get the expressions and posture right for all the characters.
I found it more easier after doing the same, and could get a hang of the expressions.
After which I proceeded with the final drawings, and painting my physical zine.
Painting the characters went quite well , but the background I had used for my digital similar zine was the comic pixalate effect, and replicating the same was a challenge, for which I used earbuds, q tips to paint the background.
I have thoroughly enjoyed doing this project , as it was new to me and something I had never done or seen before, I learnt a lot throughout the process and faced my fears of human drawing as well as expressions and features.
I have learnt to work out of my comfort zone , explore things even though you might fail in it ,but you never know how much you learn from it and wont repeat your mistakes in future.
All in all it was a great experience.
