The second class of imaging was all about the introduction and detailed study of Gestalts theory and its principle.
The Gestalt theory and principles were developed by KURT KOFFKA, WOLFANG KOHLER and MAX WERTHEIMER. The Gestalts theory and principles worked on certain concepts such background, perception, projection, surface and optical illusion. The Gestalts effects is the capability of our brain to generate whole forms, particularly with respect to the visual recognition of global figures.

Perception is nothing but what is there and what you see, basically broken visual theories perceived by us.
The basic principles which we learnt in class were:
- Gestalts principle of proximity-when different elements are laid out closer to each other, they are perceived to be belonging to the same grp.eg: IBM, Unilever
- Gestalts principle of closer-it describes the ability of the brain to complete a shape or an object, even when it’s not fully closed.eg: FedEx, Pitsburg zoo and aquarium.
- Gestalts principle of similarity-objects with shared visuals characteristics are automatically taken to be related. eg: PANDA, SUN.
- Gestalts principle of multi stability – is the ability for our eyes to see 2 different things.eg: Snooty peacock.
- Gestalts principle of continuity- elements which ae perceived in a continuous form and pattern .

Based on the Gestalts principle and illustration I created some posters, some of my works :
